INFORMATION ABOUT THE AUTHORS...

AUDRI KOWALYK obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta (U of A) in 1993.  She was teacher and science department head at Morinville Community High School (MCHS) for 10 years.  During her years at MCHS she taught grade 11 & 12 Biology (bio 20 & 30), grade 9, 10, & 11 General Sciences  (Sci. 9, 10, 14, 24) and grade 11 & 12 Forensic Science.  While at MCHS, Audri created and implemented the 1st high school forensic science course in Alberta.   After leaving MCHS in 2003 to become a stay-at-home Mom;  Audri maintained her sanity and her thirst for knowledge by creating practical and interesting forensic science teacher resources.  From 2005 to 2008, Audri was hired by Alberta Distance Learning to write all the materials for their two on-line forensic science courses.  Audri has been married to Apollo Kowalyk since 1996 and they have a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old.  

APOLLO KOWALYK earned two degrees from the U of A:  a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Psychology)  and  a Master of Artss degree in Criminology.  Apollo was a police officer with the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) for 15 years and began a new career with the Alberta Solicitor General's Office:  Policing and Community Safety Branch in 2008.
